Atelier SS|AU focuses on the balance between design aesthetics, functionality, attention to detail and respecting the environment.
Established in 2025 on the south side of the Tagus River, in Lisbon's Metropolitan Area, Atelier SS|AU's design and work philosophy is based on building trust with the client, whether the final user or the developer, considering different contexts, budget constraints and cultural backgrounds.
Offering a differentiated approach from other offices in the market, the team of Atelier SS|AU collaborates with different professionals across all design phases, integrating their philosophy until achieving an excellent result. The office reflects the perfectionist personality and work ethic of its founder, Sílvia Santos, embracing her holistic approach to the field of architectural and urban design.

Set in front of a cork oak forest, these single-family homes draw from the "forest cabin" concept to foster a sensitive connection with the site. Defined by two contrasting volumes, the architecture embraces the natural topography, creating a contemporary, functional living space where landscape and dwelling are deeply intertwined.

Corte Real – Collaborative Houses
A new project from a next-generation model of social equipment, Corte Real – Collaborative Houses promotes inclusion, intergenerational living, and community life. Entirely single-storey, the complex features 20 independent units and shared-use buildings, sensitively integrated into the landscape. Modular, sustainable architecture, with recycled materials, cross ventilation, and flexible design, supports a shared living experience that respects human scale and strengthens the connection between dwelling and community.
